Barcode Label (also known as adhesive label for barcode printing) is printed using thermal transfer label printer or direct thermal label printer (a basic label design software usually comes with the barcode label printer free) to print barcode and/or text information.
A matching barcode ribbon (usually black) will be required in printing barcode label using thermal transfer label printer.
Most of the label printers from major manufacturers can be used for either Thermal Transfer (TT) printing or Direct Thermal (DT) printing of barcode label.
Different material of barcode labels with different barcode ribbon may serve different purpose depending on individual's requirements and affect print quality
